The Flatbed or Stakebed is an inexpensive and efficient way to carry items from one location to another. Whether it is loaded by hand or by forklift, it is open and easy to load and equally easy to unload. We sell Flatbeds manufactured by Knapheide Manufacturing because we think they are the best in the industry, and they are the only ones that have an electro-coating process to protect against rust and corrosion for many years.

The Knapheide Flatbed or Platform comes in several models to take care of any need in the marketplace. The standard, or Value-Master X Platform Bodies is the most popular and it comes with a variety of floor materials to suit any need. These include the standard 2" thick dense Yellow Pine floor, a smooth or diamond plate steel floor, and the new Polyethylene board flooring material for superior longevity and durability. On the steel floors, you can opt for the steel by itself, or as a steel overlay to add great strength to support heavy loads.

Smooth Steel Floor

This floor gives you easy sliding and superior strength and it stands up to any weather. This can be ordered as a steel floor only, or as a steel overlay with 2" thick wood underneath to give maximum strength.

Standard 2" Thick Dense Yellow Pine Floor

When we say Pine floor, you might thing soft wood, easily damaged, but this flooring material is strong enough for most applications and it is standard. We've seen 10 year old Knapheide flatbeds with the wood in excellent condition. If your loads are extraordinarily heavy, other flooring options may make sense.

Treadplate or Diamond Plate Steel Floor

This option gives great strength and can be steel by itself, or a steel overlay over the standard 2" thick wood floor for maximum strength. This treadplate steel helps with traction and to keep loads from sliding around. The treadplate is good looking and functional at the same time.

Polyethylene Board Flooring

It looks like wood, but is not wood. This option helps to increase your overall payload while minimizing the risk of your platform boards shrinking, expanding, bowing, or warping. It is significantly lower wieght than dense yellow pine, thereby increasing your payload capacity. It offers superior longevity and durability.
